Luis Ramos, MD, FACR


Dr. Ramos earned his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in Lima, Peru. He then came to the United States and completed his residency in internal medicine at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and a fellowship in rheumatology and clinical immunology at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Dr. Ramos has twenty years of experience as a practicing

rheumatologist. In addition to his practice, he earned his certification in medical humanities from Drew University in 1998, was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and received board certification in the subspecialty of rheumatology. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and Fellow of the American College of Physicians.

Dr. Ramos served academic preceptorships for the physician assistant school at Barry University in Miami and Florida State University in Tallahassee and for the nurse practitioner program at the University of South Florida. He enjoys research and has been published in Rheumatology International and The Journal of Ultrasound Medicine. Dr. Ramos dedicates his practice to ease the pain and suffering of his patients through compassionate and skillful care.

Jose Martinez, DO

Dr. Martinez is a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) who has been in practice as a rheumatologist serving the Orlando and surrounding areas since 2018. He is a 2013 graduate of Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine - Bradenton where he completed his D.O. degree. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Florida State University where he served as Chief Resident and was selected as the "Resident of the Year" and "Primary Care Physician of the Year" during his tenure there. He would go on to complete his Rheumatology Fellowship at the University of Florida in 2018 before arriving in Central Florida to serve its community. 

Dr. Martinez is not a "5 Minute Doctor"; he believes in getting to know each of his patients. Dr. Martinez is bilingual (Spanish). In his free time, he enjoys boxing and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, playing chess competitively, and watching action/horror movies. He is excited to be a part of the Central Florida community and to serve as their Rheumatologist.

Natalia Mikanowicz,  MSN, APRN, FNP-C


Natalia Mikanowicz is a licensed and certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at York College of Pennsylvania. In order to advance her knowledge and influence in health care she attended graduate school at the University of Cincinnati and finished her Master’s degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. the Central Florida Advanced Practice Nursing Council, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society.

Natalia’s nursing experience is primarily in Critical Care with multiple years practicing in Neurological and Cardiac Intensive Care units across the country. Stepping out of the hospital into the outpatient setting as an advanced practice nurse allows her to use critical thinking skills to improve the quality of patient’s lives and to help manage chronic disease to prevent costly hospitalizations.

She embraces the field of Rheumatology and sees it as challenging and exciting due to all of the research developing new treatment alternatives for patients with complex autoimmune diseases. She is looking forward to building lasting relationships with patients on a holistic level at Florida Arthritis Center.

When she is not at the office Natalia enjoys going to concerts, traveling to new countries and cities, running, reading a good novel, and spending time with family and friends.

Amber Lee,  MSN, APRN, FNP-C


Amber Lee completed her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at the University of South Florida. She then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing, graduate degree at the University of South Florida in 2018. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is also a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Thi Beta Honor Society of Nurses.

She joined Dr. Luis Ramos and the Florida Arthritis Center in 2019. Amber has always had a passion for patient advocacy and education. She believes that providing patients with a thorough plan of care is a vital key to improved patient outcomes. She continues to seek out knowledge and evidence-based treatment guidelines to provide safe and effective care to her patients.

When she’s not at work, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys reading, traveling, cooking and taking their golden-doodle Lola to the dog park.
